I am amazed at all the fuss all of a sudden about spying on American citizens. Bush signed the patriot act which trashed the constitution in favor of national security. The government began conducting illegal wire taps, interrogations, arrests and prolonged detention without trial, and the list goes on. Further, our government has been spying on American for more years than I have been alive so its nothing new. Suddenly, someone wants to talk about it and someone else wants to write about it and it becomes a national scandal. Wake up people... your phone calls have been monitored since George bush was wearing diapers. Its nothing new... so your anger while not necessarily misplaced is considerably late. You need to go back a few decades if you want to blame someone.
